Sara Fleeman | LM, CPM
Sara’s journey into midwifery began long before her official licensure, rooted in two decades of intentional study, support for families, and deep conviction about the sacredness of birth. She first stepped into the world of birth work in 2015 with a heart committed to walking alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and has spent years refining her skills in every birth setting before answering the call to serve the Houston community full-time with Katy Birth Center.
Sara brings to her practice not only clinical expertise but a profound emphasis on relationship building as the cornerstone of care. She believes that trust, clear communication, and authentic connection between caregiver and family create the safest environment for both physiological birth and individualized support, and that every family deserves to be seen, heard, and valued throughout their journey. Sara’s care is grounded in respectful dialogue, evidenced-based practice, and a commitment to honoring each family’s unique story and goals.
A passionate advocate for nutrition and holistic wellness, Sara guides families toward evidence-informed nutritional choices and lifestyle habits that optimize physical preparation for birth, promote balanced postpartum recovery, and support lifelong wellbeing. She joyfully integrates whole-person care, including fitness, restorative practices, and gentle remedies that empower families to cultivate strength, resilience, and confidence from conception through early parenting.
Sara’s approach is thoughtfully Christ-centered, woven with compassion, dignity, and grace. She sees her work as more than clinical care; it is a ministry of presence, encouragement, and trust in the beauty and miracle of life. Her faith informs her respect for the sacredness of the childbearing year, and she seeks with every family to offer pastoral-hearted support alongside skilled midwifery care.
Collaboration is central to Sara’s philosophy, both within the birth center team and through partnerships with the broader maternity care community, ensuring that every client has access to safe, comprehensive prenatal education, labor support, and postpartum care tailored to their needs. She believes that excellence in care is achieved not in isolation but through shared expertise, mutual respect, and a network of supportive providers committed to the health of mom and baby.
When she is not caring for families, Sara delights in her life with her husband of many years and their six children. She homeschoools, cheers on Astros baseball, serves actively in her church community as a deacon, and enjoys creative pursuits like crocheting that bring restful balance to her busy life.
Sara feels privileged to be part of the vibrant midwifery team at Katy Birth Center, walking with families through one of the most transformative seasons of life with expertise, integrity, and heartfelt care.
